Zirbel Bike GmbH is an innovative family-run company from Switzerland, born out of its founder’s passion for cycling — a former chemist.
Since 2013, Zirbel Bike has been dedicated to developing groundbreaking technologies that elevate the riding experience to a new level. By combining technical creativity, modern design sensibility, and the highest quality standards, a patented technology emerged that unites minimalism with excellent functionality: the Twister. This shifting system sets new benchmarks in performance, comfort, and weight. Since 2021, the founder has been fully committed to the company, offering high-quality products at a fair price — with the goal of making cutting-edge technology accessible to everyone.
Our guiding principle: innovation is a continuous process. Because at Zirbel Bike, we believe: if you stand still, you’re moving backwards. And we still have plenty of ideas that will astonish the biking world.
Why are we called Zirbel Bike?
The name "Zirbel" comes from the Swiss stone pine, also known as the Zirbel. A majestic tree that grows high up in the Alps. For cyclists, these trees are a symbol of perseverance, a final greeting from nature before the summit is reached. At an altitude of around 2,000 metres, the Zirbel marks the point where human strength meets the limits of the earth.
Zirbel Bike represents this intersection between personal achievement and the untameable power of nature — a constant reminder that true victory lies in harmony with nature.
